As we approach August, everyone here at CGN couldn’t be happier about the success of our Community Garden. Thanks to the efforts of our wonderful gardeners (and, finally, some rain!) we are proud to say that the beds are in full bloom- and look beautiful. Admittedly, after three weeks of extreme heat and water troubles, we were worried about the future of the community beds. However, in our initial concerns we failed to account for the tireless efforts and perseverance of our gardeners. Working as a group, they shared plants and watering duties, and it’s thanks to them that the gardens are thriving today. To our gardeners- thank you! We’re so proud of the work that you have done in the community beds, and look forward to our future of gardening together. And to the community, we urge you to check out the progress that’s been made in the last few weeks. You can stop by the parking lot at Sabine Park to see what’s growin’ on (and hopefully find some inspiration for your own gardening projects!). We’ll keep updating our blog and social media as the gardens grow, but for now, we just want to say thank you to our gardeners for the time they put in and to everyone else for their unwavering support.
